In the bowl of a stand mixer using the whisk attachment, cream together the butter, sugar, and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add the corn syrup, vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg, making sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to mix everything well.
Switch to the paddle or dough hook attachment. Gradually mix in the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda until just combined.
Using a spoon, scoop and shape the dough into balls using about 2 tablespoons per cookie. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet.
