I prefer using a cast iron pan heated to medium high and flipping and sautéed till done. I like to treat my burgers like a steak. I baste them with butter and garlic and my favorite herbs of the day, usually tarragon or rosemary.

And great tips, too! Though I can't seem to find grass fed beef that is higher fat content. Usually it's around 93% lean, which is too lean for burgers (they fall apart).
