As someone who always used jar sauce it does taste a bit different still significantly better tasting! It definitely has a fresher taste of course. I did use an immersion blender to make it a bit smoother and it was perfect!

I tried this recipe today knowing I didn’t have the fennel seeds the recipe called for. Even though those were left out and I did not add sugar (I don’t like adding sugar to sauce) I found the recipe to have an excellent flavor. My family raved about how good the flavor was. I will definitely make this again.

Absolutely delicious!! I found the recipe on YouTube and it’s delightful. I used all dried herbs but I know it’d be even better with fresh herbs. I also left out the sugar. This is now my go to recipe!!

This recipe is a 10. If you want to impress some friends over a “basic” meal invite them over while you make this. Bonus if you have wine! Half of these ingredients I had in my garden, canning pantry, or homegrown spice cabinet which made it more tasty! I was out of my own spaghetti sauce, and had other tomato jars on the shelf. This recipe came up as #5 in a Google search. Thanks!
