By far best dumpling recipe I’ve ever made! I followed recipe exactly. No carrots or celery only because I didn’t have on hand. At first glance, I wondered if there would be enough flavor. There’s just something comforting about a simple bowl of chicken ‘n dumplings. A couple of my adult children stopped by to grab a bowl to take home. I was told to make a double batch next time. Thank you for sharing!

I always add diced celery and carrots to mine. In a pinch, I roll out refrigerated biscuits and drop them in. My hubs also likes more flavor, so I add sage, poultry seasoning and a bit of rosemary.

I made this it’s fantastic. My Grandmother made this style chicken and dumpling. This is better than hers. It’s country cooking with a chefs touch. I will use this recipe from now on. Thank You!

I grew up in the south eating chicken and dumplings.

I added carrots and can of cream of chicken soup.

My family and I absolutely loved the results and we are eagerly looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!

Great recipe! Reminds me of my Aunts chicken and dumplings. Only difference is she always put a cream of mushroom in hers. But this was still just as good!
