Yes, you can. You want it to sit for at least a little bit to let the flavors really blend, but it does eventually get mushy.

I’v only mixed it directly with the cream cheese as leftovers. It definitely works. Whip the cream cheese with a hand mixer and then fold in the salsa for best results.
